About Lucy
Five was the age I began my training through the Suzuki method. This early foundation defined my current teaching style by prioritizing listening and imitation. Twenty years later, I integrate these concepts with a MMus from the Eastman School of Music.
My instruction focuses on ABRSM and Trinity exam preparation alongside classical repertoire development. I emphasize technical accuracy in double stops, vibrato, and tone production. These skills have guided many students into regional and national youth symphonies. Outside of the studio, I maintain a regular performance schedule in professional orchestras.

Do you find yourself stuck on complex measures while practicing at home? Many violinists struggle to maintain rhythm and timing when navigating difficult orchestral excerpts.
I provide recorded playback of tricky passages so you can listen to correct phrasing during your independent work. My 13 years of experience inform how I address sight reading and tuning by ear during our time together.
We combine this technical rigor with the musicality expected at the conservatory level. Since earning my MMus from the Eastman School of Music, I have helped countless pupils transition from private practice to competitive ensemble settings.
