About Baltazar
I have a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. My work has been exhibited with Mongerson Galleries (Chicago) and Aldo Castillo gallery (Miami).
IN 2010 my work was chosen for the journal, "New American Landscapes"
My painting and sculptures are in private collections throughout the U.S.

I have been a practicing artist, as well as a teaching artist for quite a number of years. I have taught pre-school, middle-school, and high school students as well as adults. I am proficient in a number of mediums: Acrylic, oil, watercolor, and colored pencils.
In my drawing and painting classes, students learn basic pictorial composition, shading, and perspective as foundations for creating a convincing image in space, as well as techniques to create realism. Color mixing, impasto, and transparent washes are also covered to add variance and depth to images.
In my sculpture classes (clay, paper-mache, and mixed media) students learn how to approach and to create interesting 3-D form, whether abstract or figurative.
