Hello, Future Star-to-Be!

I'm Peter Riopelle, and I've been a professional actor, director, producer, and artistic director for more than 25 years.

For most of that time, I've been based in New York City, but I have also lived and worked extensively in the Los Angeles and Chicago markets, and performed and directed on stages all across the country.

My career includes Broadway National Tours, Off-Broadway, Television, Film, Commercials, and leading roles at some of the nation's finest regional theaters.

I have worked with some of the most prominent directors in theater and film, including Tim Robbins, Anne Bogart, Josh Rhodes, Casey Hushion, David Armstrong, Marvin Hamlisch, and Casey Nicholaw; and have the distinction of being the first actor ever cast on-the-spot by Mr. Nicholaw, who remarked on the occasion, "That was one of the single best auditions I've ever seen."

I've also been blessed to work alongside some of the leading actors on stage and screen today, including Bob Martin, Michael Rupert, Nancy Opel, Georgia Engel, Rob Estes, John Tuturro, and Martin Sheen.

I received my BFA in Musical Theatre Performance from Western Michigan University and his MFA in Classical Acting and Directing from the Professional Theatre Training Program at Brandeis University, with post-graduate theatre studies at Columbia University.

I have instructed all levels from beginning novices to Broadway Professionals, and have taught Acting at Western Michigan University, The University of Kentucky, Brandeis University, Utah Shakespeare Festival, Stage One Theatre, Kalamazoo Civic Theatre, and Theatre in The Park, as well as my own private students in New York, L.A., and Louisville, KY.

I have served as Artistic Director for Tibbits Opera House in Michigan since 2020, and was Artistic Associate at Cornwell's Dinner Theatre from 2002-2020.

I have trained, instructed and hired hundreds of actors and performers over that time, and I KNOW what it takes to succeed in the audition room! Let's work together to give you the tools you need to GET THE PART! TRY ME! You'll be very glad you did!
