About Rory
Hello y'all! My name is Rory and I'm a recent college graduate from UT Austin. During high school, I volunteered as a math tutor at a local middle school. I've always enjoyed math, and my mom was a teacher, so I feel like this is perfect for me! I am also a huge sports fan and I really like karaoke (even though I can not sing!)

I'm a big believer in showing all of your work and that figuring out things for yourself makes them stick better than if someone else just tells you.
I'm also very practical, I find theories and formal definitions confusing, humans learn better by doing, so my sessions will involve a lot of practice problems! I'll also try to relate the content to the real world whenever possible because I find making connections is what helps things to stick.
I think I'm best suited to teach algebra and probability/statistics and I'd be happy to work with people of any age.
