About Quinn
Hello I'm Quinn (they/them), and I've done a lot of editing over the last 10 years. It can be very overwhelming and frustrating at times, but the ability to convey visual storytelling through editing will stick with you your whole life. As Barbie says in Barbie (2023), "I want to be part of the people that make meaning, not the thing that’s made. I want to be the one imagining, not the idea itself" The digital tools I'll teach you how to use will empower you to craft your own stories and worlds. This art form is turning 130 this year, and it's never been a better time to start.

I will teach the process and workflow of professional film and video editing, from transcoding/ingesting raw footage to developing a rough cut into a refined edit. I can impart all I know about color management, visual effects compositing, and advanced sound effects mixing. I'm ready to jump into ongoing projects to provide advice and support - or teach someone how to develop the right techniques from the ground up. I am available to teach anyone over 14, but feel free to reach out to discuss particular circumstances :)
