About Louis

I'm Louis, an experienced private tutor specialising in Philosophy at Degree Level. I help students who are struggling to achieve top marks by addressing common challenges in essay writing and philosophical understanding.

I have received offers from Oxford and Cambridge for philosophy masters courses, and I am currently doing an MPhil specialising in the philosophy of religion at Oxford.

During my own Philosophy degree at King’s College London, I struggled to score above 70% despite working hard. Over time, I learned to work smarter by understanding exactly what markers expect and refining my essay-writing approach. This effort led to a 1st class degree with a 74% average in my final year, including top marks in Metaphysics and Medieval Philosophy.

I now use these insights to help my students succeed, saving them time and frustration by teaching the techniques that helped me excel.
