My name is Alex. I have a bachelor's degree in Chemistry & Political Science/History. As a result, I can tutor math up to Calculus 3, all levels of chemistry, and all AP History & AP Gov't courses. My two main goals are to build student confidence and to develop mastery. I do this by giving students problems to diagnose their strengths and weaknesses. To maximize time, I ensure that we spend the bulk of the lessons on areas of weakness. I want students to feel confident and to be able to explain their reasoning. Teaching students how to learn is another key motivation of mine.
