About Alex
I’ve had students who were fighting with every ounce of their abilities to just pass the class. I’ve had students with good math skills but super heavy test anxiety. I’ve had students who are actually way better than they think at math, but their teacher doesn’t teach to their style, and they needed a boost.
My students always find after some time with me that the material is easier to understand, tests aren’t so scary and Math isn’t actually all that hard…it’s just never been adapted to their way of thinking.

Each student needs a different approach to math, and I make every effort to appeal to their way of thinking so that they can grow their ability to approach and solve puzzles while limiting anxiety and fear.
I love the mathematical process, I believe that math is about building logical ways of attacking problems, not something that is supposed to be memory-based, or static processes…each problem has multiple pathways and each student’s mind will naturally appeal toward certain trends.
