I am a South African enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree in Teaching. I am a certified English as a Foreign Language teacher with certification from the International TEFL organization.
I am new to teaching in practice but this allows me to explore my own capabilities while improving the capabilities of my students.

My teaching method is based on what I learned in my TEFL training.
Preparation: Testing previous knowledge in order to tailor a lesson to the student. Introducing a new lesson and the aspects and vocabulary covered therein. Revising the theory taught in the lesson.
Practice: Putting the new knowledge to the test and determining what needs to be paid more attention to. Practicing the knowledge in order to cement the knowledge within the student.
Production: Further cementing new knowledge by way of additional quizzes and games or challenges should the content of the lesson permit it.
I believe lessons should be tailored to fit students. For instance, in the case of examples to be used in lessons, use names of places and familiar faces to the student depending on their geographical location.
