About Dina

Music has been the foundation of my life for decades. I hold a Ph.D. in Violin Performance and have performed as a soloist, chamber musician, orchestral player, and educator throughout my career. My experiences in both performance and teaching have shaped my belief that technical excellence and meaningful human connection are equally essential to musical growth.

While I strive to help every student become the best musician they can be, my greatest passion is getting to know each student as an individual. I believe the strongest teacher-student relationships are built on trust, encouragement, and genuine care. Every child—and every adult—has a unique personality, learning style, motivation, and set of goals. Rather than expecting students to fit one method, I adapt my teaching to fit the person in front of me.

I want my students to know they are seen, valued, and believed in. Whether a student is naturally analytical, imaginative, energetic, reserved, or somewhere in between, I work to discover what inspires them and create lessons that allow them to flourish both musically and personally.

My teaching combines strong technical foundations with practical, time-efficient practice strategies that help students make meaningful progress while balancing the demands of everyday life. Alongside technique, I emphasize creativity, artistry, confidence, healthy performance habits, and the joy of making music.

I also view parents as important partners in the educational journey. Through open communication, individualized guidance, performances, music theory, ensemble experiences, and mentorship, I strive to create an environment where students feel challenged, supported, and excited to learn.

For me, teaching is about far more than developing accomplished musicians. It is about helping people discover confidence, discipline, resilience, and a lifelong love of music. My hope is that every student leaves my studio not only as a stronger musician, but also as a more confident and capable person.

I believe music education should inspire a lifelong love of music while equipping students with the skills and confidence to achieve their individual goals. Every student learns differently, and my role is to create a supportive, engaging environment where each person can thrive regardless of age, experience, or background.

My teaching emphasizes efficient, research-informed practice strategies that help students make meaningful progress while balancing the demands of everyday life. Beyond technical excellence, I strive to cultivate creativity, artistic expression, resilience, and confidence through regular performance opportunities and individualized instruction.

I view music as more than a subject to master—it is a lifelong source of joy, personal growth, and connection. Through private lessons, ensemble experiences, music theory, composition, masterclasses, and recitals, I partner with both students and parents to nurture musicians who are not only skilled performers but also curious, independent learners with a lasting appreciation for music.

Above all, I am committed to providing thoughtful mentorship, encouraging each student to discover their unique musical voice and reach their fullest potential.
