I fix this common struggle by requiring weekly mechanism drills with feedback. You will walk through the logic of every transformation before writing a single product.
We break down the architecture of molecules. This is the core of our work. I demonstrate how to visualize transition states. We tackle the hardest problems first.

Graduating with a Doctor of Medicine from Stanford School of Medicine gave me a precise mental model for chemistry. Truthfully, I struggled with rote memorization during my own early coursework until I discovered the power of electron pushing.

Complex topics like stereochemistry, reaction mechanisms, and carboxylic acids become manageable once the underlying flow is clear. We analyze alcohols, ethers, and carbonyl chemistry to build a robust foundation.
