About Jeremy
Hello!
My name is Jeremy and I am a tutor who focuses on helping learners achieve fluency through conversation and creative writing.
I hold a Bachelor's in Fine Arts (BFA) from San Jose State University. I have professionally written and have years of experience giving feedback.
Learning a language can be difficult. English in particular is hard because our words are not always written how they sound, unlike languages such as Spanish or Japanese. That is why conversation practice is such a powerful tool.
I look forward to working with you on your speaking and creative writing!

Hello!
I'm Jeremy and I teach the English language through conversation and creative writing!
Lesson focus: pronunciation, conversation practice, creative writing, and constructive feedback.
Many tutors only focus on teaching English with long PowerPoints. But learning English through conversation with a native speaker and creative writing is very effective and fun!
Each lesson will be an hour, half of the time devoted to conversation and guidance on becoming fluent like a native speaker. The other half we'll devote to creative writing!
Creative writing: please bring a piece of writing you have written in English. It can be poetry, a short story, or if you have long-form work such as a novel or novella, we can go over it across multiple lessons!
First, I will help fix any grammatical or syntax errors. Most of the time in this half will be talking about your writing as an art form. I hold a Bachelor's in Fine Arts and have years of experience giving constructive criticism to artists.
