About Finn
I am Finn, father of two and studying my second degree. Having previously studied French and Arabic and traveled extensively, I am now working towards a bachelors in Biotechnology which is a field that encompasses biochemistry, molecular biology, microbiology, organic chemistry, and lots more! I am equally as passionate about the history and philosophy of science as I am about emerging and cutting edge technologies, many of which are being developed and piloted right here in Scotland and the rest of the UK. In my spare time I am a swimmer, a drummer and a linguaphile.

My lessons are personalised to the learner's objectives, pace and preferred learning style. Whether you are trying to ace exams and coursework, plug gaps in your understanding or explore biology beyond the curriculum, I will try and provide material which is engaging and ability-appropriate.
My lesson plans are based on the information you provide, so I will start our first session by asking you to clearly state your goals. Everyone learns differently, so initially I will experiment with different delivery formats such as presentations, discussions, quizzes and pen & paper activities to gauge the most effective way for us to work together, and at what speed.
All lessons will take place online, with small tasks set in between each lesson. Lessons are typically 50 minutes, homework tasks may take between 20-60 minutes.
