About Casey
My name is Casey Knox, I recently graduated Texas State University with my BS in Biochemistry magna cum laude, with ACS and ASBMB certifications! I was a transfer student, and attended another four-year university as well as community college before finding TXST. I joined a research group to study intrinsically disordered proteins during my time at TXST, which gave me the opportunity to design my own experiments and present my research at conferences and symposiums across the US! I use he/him pronouns, and I feel that it is incredibly important to communicate that I am open to teaching anyone from any background.

Willing to help meet students where they are in order to get them where they want/need to be. There are different styles of learning, and I am willing to adapt to whatever the student needs most, such as running through flash cards or explaining the reasoning/logic behind specific material. I have 2 years of previous experience tutoring for high school and community college level students. During my undergraduate career I was diagnosed and medicated for ADHD, and understand that sometimes your brain won't even let you comprehend what you need help with. I have been there myself, and want to help students who feel stuck in that same spot to succeed in whatever they are doing!
