About Sophia
While I like to keep sessions relaxed and approachable, I take my role as a tutor seriously and always come prepared. Having performed strongly in both AP Chemistry and my general chemistry college courses, I’ve built a solid understanding of the material and the strategies needed to succeed. I strive to create a respectful, organized learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and challenging themselves. Because I am also a student, I understand the challenges learners face and use methods that I’ve personally found effective. I strive to create a supportive, encouraging environment where questions are always welcome and mistakes are viewed as opportunities to grow. My lessons are designed for students in entry-level high school chemistry, AP Chemistry, or introductory college chemistry who want to build confidence and truly understand the material.
