About Nicola
Hi! I'm Nic, a fourth year university student pursuing a Biology degree. I've put a lot of time into science and math content, and reading/writing have always been a strong suit of mine.
For the things that didn't come quite so easy however, I've done my own fair share of tutoring to help me better grasp subject matter, and through this I've gathered a lot of helpful resources and notes!
I would love to be able to help others get a better understanding of subject matter, help with re-approaching topics that aren't quite sticking, or at the very least diminish some of the frustration that I know can come with these subjects!
I'm pretty new to this and don't have official tutoring experience, but my go-to study approach is to re-teach whatever I'm learning to a friend, and I have some experience working/volunteering in elementary classrooms. I would love to be of help to younger students, and offer any resources or knowledge that I've gathered in hopes of avoiding discouragement or feeling left behind in class.

I'm open to working on any grade/education level, from foundational elementary school content through to calculus and organic chemistry!
specifically, I can offer help with :
- studying / exam prep
- homework
- going over completed work/how to check your own work
- rewording/re-approaching things that didn't make sense during class
- practicing content in general if you just feel like you need to go over it a couple more times!
I don't have any official tutoring experience, but I have accrued a lot of practice and personal experience with math, reading/writing, and science content. My go-to method of studying is to overview explain/teach a friend about whatever I am learning. I've also had my fair share of tutoring to help me get acquainted with some math and science concepts, so I have a lot of resources and explanations at my disposal!
But without tutoring experience, what makes me stand out?
- I've never been someone that tests well, so I've had to make up for that with good question comprehension and different tactics for approaching an exam. I would love to help or give suggestions if I can of what might make test days less daunting
- I took a lot of AP/upper level courses in high school, across all subjects, so I have experience with every level of content/understanding.
- I'm not afraid to say I don't know something! I don't want to waste anyone's time, so if you reach out with specifics of what you're hoping to work on I will absolutely be honest if it's not something I feel I can tackle, or that someone else could be of better help with!
