About Nadine
Hi, I'm Nadine! I'm a biomedical engineer with a passion for teaching STEM subjects. I graduated with Honors from UCSD with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering in December of 2020. UCSD's biomedical engineering program is ranked top 10 in the nation and its rigorous coursework gave me a strong foundation in STEM. Early in college, I often helped my peers with coursework explaining concepts in ways that made the material clearer. This inspired me to pursue tutoring and share my love for STEM with students, primarily K-12.

With 8+ years of tutoring experience, I focus on making STEM engaging and accessible. I bring real-world applications into lessons to spark interest and help students connect the material to everyday life. I tutor a range of math subjects from Pre-Algebra to Calculus including AP, Honors, and college levels. I also tutor Biology, Chemistry, and Physics including AP, Honors, and college levels. My experience includes one-on-one sessions as well as group tutoring. Before each session, I connect with students to understand their needs and prepare accordingly. I bring example problems and guide them through the solutions step by step while they take notes and ask questions. Afterward, I have students work through similar problems to ensure they fully grasp the concepts. I tailor my teaching to meet each student's unique needs, creating a supportive environment where they can thrive. My goal is to empower students and boost their confidence in learning STEM subjects. I also have experience working with students with learning disabilities, ADHD, and autism.
