About Clara

Welcome to my studio! For a full introduction, I am a highly motivational, warm, and supportive piano tutor who has spent the last 7 years dedicating my life to teaching junior students all over the United States. I earned my Bachelor of Music in Keyboard Pedagogy from UCLA, followed by a Master of Music from the Peabody Institute, where I specifically studied the psychology of confidence building and how to make learning music a frustration-free process. I remember exactly how intimidating those black and white keys looked during my very first lesson when my hands were shaking, so I deliberately guide students using my personal learning experiences to build confidence and discipline. Whether I am helping a young K-12 child press their very first key or showing a college freshman how to play a relaxing pop song to unwind after exams, my teaching style is always anchored in deep encouragement and a positive learning environment. As a Best Friendly Tutor with a supportive, polite, patient teaching style, I promise you will never feel rushed. Last year, I was thrilled to receive the "Excellence in Empowering Music Education Award" for my dedication to reducing student anxiety. Through my online one-to-one live lessons, I use multiple clear digital cameras so you can always see exactly which finger I am using, ensuring you receive the absolute best, most uplifting instruction possible!

About the lesson

Step into a wonderfully positive digital piano studio! My one-to-one online live lessons offer the absolute safest, most encouraging environment for junior students, high schoolers, college first-year students, and absolute beginners of all ages to discover the magic of the keys. As an interactive tutor turning complex questions into simple, easy-to-understand explanations, I make sure you feel completely empowered every time we sit down to play. Using a gentle, extreme beginner, zero-level starting approach with very easy explanations, we will beautifully explore the traditional acoustic piano, the fun digital features of the electronic keyboard, and the incredibly creative, modern world of the synthesizer. To make sure you get the absolute most out of our time together, I design lessons based on student requirements for better understanding and results. I will teach you in the way that you understand best, making learning simple and effective for whatever uplifting melodies you love the most. Feel free to share your topic before class, and I will design the lesson specially for you! Furthermore, to keep your learning journey completely stress-free, flexible timing is available for students to schedule lessons according to their convenience.
