About Lauren
Hi, I’m Lauren Mitchell, and I have 9 years of experience teaching singing to students from K-12 to early college. I completed my studies at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I developed strong expertise in vocal training and music education. My teaching style is friendly, supportive, and focused on helping students feel confident while learning. I have helped many students improve their voice, confidence, and performance skills. I was honored with the Vocal Excellence Award for my engaging teaching approach. Today, when I see my students performing confidently, I feel truly proud of their progress. Outside teaching, I enjoy singing and exploring new music styles.

In my singing lessons, I focus on helping you develop a strong, confident, and expressive voice in a comfortable and motivating environment. I provide a smooth and student-friendly learning environment for better engagement and results, so you can learn without hesitation and improve naturally. I will help you understand the topic you have been having trouble with, through clear explanations, useful examples, and a lot of guided and dynamic practice. We work on breathing control, pitch accuracy, tone clarity, vocal strength, and emotional expression so your singing becomes smooth and powerful. I also include music reading, music theory, and choir-style techniques to build a complete foundation. You can ask doubts anytime during the lesson and also share your songs or goals before class so I can design everything according to your needs.
