About Tayshaun
I am a dedicated genome biology student with a 3.8 GPA, combining a strong academic foundation with a genuine passion for helping others succeed who have struggled similarly to myself.
I understand that every student learns differently, so I focus on adapting my approach to match each individual's needs.
Reliability and communication are central to how I work so students are able to contact me outside of tutoring for quick help.
The main goal before all else is to provide students with skills to succeed independently long term.

I help Grade 1-10 students improve test scores in math and science by explaining concepts clearly and practicing real exam questions. Sometimes the classroom isn’t enough!
Lessons go as follows:
- What is the student struggling with?
- Diagnose the gaps in their learning.
- Explain concepts clearly and use applicable examples that can help weave together concepts in a simple manner.
- Practice together!
- End with quick summary + next steps for the student (depending on age next steps for parents as well).
I was a struggling student at one point I understand just as well how difficult it can be to grasp concepts.
