About Nikki

I have taught in a range of secondary schools up to A level standard. I started teaching in September 2006, before that I have worked in retail, banking and education. This experience has enabled me to create exciting lessons that bring in scenarios from business to help students understand what is being taught. I now want to concentrate on the learning and achievement of students and give them the skills skills and understanding they need to achieve their potential.

Have worked in education establishments for over 20 years working with young adults.

About the lesson

I have not only taught Business for 10 years but previous to teaching I also worked in retail. I therefore ensure that when I'm teaching the subject I explain the terms using real life examples and experience. I find this not only helps the explanation become more interesting but the student believe and remember it better.
Within business we find the area to develop and create a personalised learning plan around the topics. This then forms the basis of our sessions and is rounded off with assessments suitable for the qualification level. I believe everyone has the potential to achieve their goals we just need to find the best pathway to follow.

I am a professional teacher with over 10 years experience. I believe everyone has the right to succeed in their learning and with the right support and encourage everyone to achieve their potential. I aim to turn "I can't," into "I can!"

- Which subject(s) do you teach?

Having taught in a range of primary and secondary schools over my teaching career I have taught many different subjects. My main subjects are Business and ICT/computer science. I have also taught Maths, English, Citizenship, Media and communication studies.

I am qualified up to Degree level BA (Hons) performance Management 2:1
I have a PGCE in Business and citizenship
I have 3 A levels
I have 5 GCSE inc English and Maths

- How much do you charge?

I charge between £18-£25.
If teach 2 students the same subject from the same family I offer a 10% discount.
Bulk sessions buy 10 sessions get 1 free.

- Where do you teach?

I teach from home in Halifax. Surrounding areas include Soweby Bridge, Hebden Bridge, Queensbury, Elland, Huddersfield

- When are you available?

I am available evenings and weekend and during most school holidays

KS2 to KS5. ( ages 7 to 18 )
