About Joshua
I am a passionate teacher who has a proven track record of strong academic results in GCSE and A Level education for both A Level Business Studies and Economics. I care about the students I teach and adapt my teaching style to the needs of learners to allow them to gain the optimum access to learning. After studying a Business-related degree involving finance, procurement and marketing I went on to build a successful career in procurement for 8 years before venturing into the world of education teaching both business and economics to an exceptional standard. I believe my combined experience of industry expertise and academic rigour makes me a strong and suitable tutor for all students of all abilities. Bringing the subjects alive through intriguing and fun lessons is a skill I am able to deliver to students to make learning not only enjoyable but gives my students the confidence and skills to tackle the exam alone.

A personalised approach to teaching students of all levels to build the confidence of learners for their exam. My key focus is on assessment objectives, critical writing and developing well-structured arguments for students to achieve grade A* at A Level and grade 9 at GCSE. I have a first-class degree in Procurement and Finance. I also have industry experience as a procurement buyer for 8 years and now have 5 years' experience teaching Business Studies and Economics A Level (EDEXCEL) and Business Studies GCSE (EDEXCEL). I have a proven track record of achieving strong academic results in the school environment and make sure my students have all the tools needed for different types of questions that may come up in the exam. Lessons will be 50 minutes, which will focus on making sure knowledge is correct, analysis skills are built and students become experts in evaluation skills. This is a collaboration for students to voice what their concerns are so that I can tailor any lesson to their needs. I am looking forward to meeting you!
