About Kaitlyn
I have a B.A. in English Literature and formal training in tutoring through English 368: Theory and Practice of Peer-to-Peer Writing Instruction, which focuses on tutoring ideologies and strategies for creating personalized tutoring plans. I applied this training while working as a tutor at Cal Poly's Writing and Learning Center for over eight months as an undergraduate, where I supported dozens of students from diverse language backgrounds in developing their writing skills and confidence.

In our sessions, we dive into your writing process together. I encourage fundamental changes by talking to you about your ideas, helping you organize your structure, and revise with intention. I'll first observe how you approach each task so I can identify what's working and what needs improvement. From there, we create a clear, tailored plan to build stronger reading comprehension and writing skills. I work with students from elementary school through the undergraduate level.
