About Cian
Having won my school’s Latin prize at the end of my Sixth Form, I went on to graduate from Trinity College, Cambridge with a high 2:1 in June 2019 and a particular strength in language papers. I am due to begin the Graduate Diploma in Law in September but am keen to retain my connection to Classics by continuing to tutor.
In my last year at school, I started tutoring 5 boys in their last year of primary school and start of secondary school. Through my own experience of being tutored whilst at school and the teaching I was exposed to at Bryanston Greek Summer School and Cambridge, I benefitted from different styles and approaches different tutors have. When at Bryanston as a student 5 years ago, my tutor said that I “regularly adopted a teaching role”, which shows that even from an early age I have had a gift for being able to perceive what students might find difficult.
Outside of academia, I enjoy playing football and have an interest in history, particularly the Second World War. I also volunteer to assist a priest perform his duties at the church associated with my secondary school.
