About Jessica
Alongside teaching Classics and English at University College School, I am currently working on a PhD in Classics at the University of Cambridge. I regularly teach Cambridge undergraduates.
Before beginning my PhD, I earned an MSt in Classics from Oxford and a BA in English from Harvard. I have four years of secondary school teaching experience at Winchester College and University College School.

My four years of teaching experience at Winchester College and University College School have prepared me well to communicate with students, tailoring my lessons to their specific needs. My teaching methodology will thus be designed to fit you! In general, though, I like to challenge students and push them to engage more deeply with the material. I provide models and examples to help pupils improve their writing and encourage them to be active readers, making annotations and looking up words they don’t know. In teaching ancient languages (I teach Latin and Greek), I believe that an emphasis on grammatical rigor helps students make the fastest progress.
