Tom is a respected tutor in our community. He is highly recommended for his commitment and the quality of his lessons. An excellent choice to progress with confidence.
About Tom
- Achieved grade 9s in English Literature, French and History at GCSE
- Awarded an A* in English Literature at A-Level, with the distinction of obtaining full marks in papers on Hamlet and Macbeth. I was awarded an A* in History and an A* in French, too.
- Graduated from the London School of Economics (LSE) in June 2024, where I read BA History and French
- At Cambridge University I am reading a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Modern European History, specialising in French history.
I offer friendly, patient and reliable tutelage which seeks to genuinely engage students in their subject, in order to give them an edge against the vast competition they face. All tuition is adapted for the precise needs of the student in question, to target their academic weaknesses, and give them the confidence and work ethic required to perform at their very best; skills which will serve them well both in the exam and later life.

Courses will be taught according to the exam boards which my students follow (Edexcel, AQA, etc) in order to ensure that their tuition best reflects what will appear on the exam to ensure good value for money. Lessons last from one to two hours depending on how the student learns best. My lessons are targeted towards GCSE and A-Level students who want to achieve the highest grades, get top tips, and learn to think and articulate themselves in the right way.

Tom was the perfect tutor who was instrumental in taking my daughter from a grade 5 in her French mocks to a 9. Always quick to reply and very good at explaining things simply, my daughter has learnt to love French and will be doing French A-Level at college. Thanks a lot Tom!
Tom’s help on macbeth and Poetry for my daughters English gcses was outstanding. From a 4 in last years mocks to a 7 in this months mocks, and she feels very confident about the papers she just sat. Tom’s made a world of difference - highly recommend
