My teaching philosophy originates from my passion for education in the clinical and academic settings. As an academic educator, my main goals are to make students capable to critically think and appraise various forms of knowledge. I also appreciate that each student has different learning needs and goals, that may require a universal design of learning approach. My teaching method will be determined based on the characteristics of each student (e.g. case-based approach).
The clinical research field have many interesting methodological complexities that require the use of emerging methods and very often the use of advanced statistical techniques. I am a last generation clinical epidemiologist graduated from University of Toronto (Dalla Lana School of Public Health) and Western University which I am currently appointed as an Assistant Professor. I have 2 Bachelors of Science (B.Sc.), 2 Masters (M.Sc.), Ph.D. and postdoctoral fellowship in health-related fields ranging from epidemiology, surgery, rehab, medicine and infectious diseases.
My consultations and private lessons are for students in academia (undergraduate, post-graduate, postdoctoral fellows) that are interested to gain knowledge in clinical research on health-related fields, to design and conduct research projects such as systematic reviews, meta-analyses, clinical trials, measurement, methodology, observational studies, posters, scientific writing, statistics, conference presentations etc.
