About Gulruh
Hi, I’m Guli. I’m an English and IELTS teacher with 13 years of teaching experience. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Teaching English, a CELTA qualification, and an IELTS overall score of 8.5.
I started teaching English because I genuinely enjoy helping people achieve goals that can change their lives, whether that means improving their everyday English, studying abroad, advancing their career or achieving the IELTS score they need.
English is not my first language, so I have personally gone through the process of learning it to an advanced level. I believe this helps me understand my students’ challenges from both a learner’s and a teacher’s perspective.
My aim is to create a supportive environment where you feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and gradually becoming a more confident and independent English user.

As a non-native English speaker myself, I understand many of the difficulties English learners face. I use this experience to explain complex language clearly, identify individual weaknesses and teach practical strategies that students can apply independently.
Lessons are usually 60 minutes and are tailored to your level, goals and learning needs. I teach General English as well as IELTS preparation, including Speaking, Writing, Reading and Listening. My lessons are suitable for teenagers and adults, from intermediate learners who want to improve their overall English to IELTS candidates aiming for a higher band score.
