My approach to tutoring is grounded in what fashion courses and tutors are actually responding to right now, not outdated expectations from years ago. My perspective comes from training at Central Saint Martins and from actively running my Los Angeles–based fashion brand, LOVETT, which keeps me closely connected to current design standards and industry reality.

I work with students of all abilities and tailor each session to the individual. Sessions are structured to identify strengths, address weaknesses, and build clarity across both portfolio and process. I’m honest, encouraging, and practical. I work well with fast-paced, idea-driven students, and I’m patient with those who may have difficulty expressing themselves in English.

Tutoring is offered discreetly, either in person in Los Angeles or online. I’m happy to answer detailed questions about studying at Central Saint Martins and navigating fashion education more broadly. I offer an initial video consultation at no charge to understand your goals and determine the most effective plan forward.

My rates reflect a highly personalised, hands-on approach, not just a single hourly session. In addition to one-on-one tutoring, students receive ongoing support between sessions, including feedback and the ability to message me with questions outside scheduled lesson time.

For in-person sessions in Los Angeles, travel is calculated at my hourly rate. Online sessions are available.

  • When did you start practicing? How did this passion find you?

I started practicing art when I was 23 years old. After never taking an art class before I began learning to draw from youtube sketch sessions and tutorials. After years of making music, I wanted to explore an area of design that left me with an end result that physically existed in a space, rather than designing sound that exists in the cloud.
  • Which artists or works affect you the most?

I am affected by the work of Fauvist painters such as Pierre Bonnard and Henri Matisse. I'm also greatly moved by the work of film-maker Paulo Sorrentino and documentarian Werner Herzog.
  • What are the qualities and skill required to succeed in this area?

First and foremost, self discipline. I believe in working every day toward the end goal. In fashion, it requires an understanding of your own point of view. This is as greatly shaped by the designers dislikes as it is by their favoured styles. This point of view is what filters the universal ideas we find inspiring into what we begin to call a garment.
  • What is the most valuable advice you can give to help someone stay focused on creative projects?

Follow the excitement into the rabbit hole. When lost, search for that which excites you most, engage with it and allow it to guide you.
  • How would you describe your passion; how does it make you feel?

My passion is for empowerment and beauty. I am in search of a beauty that has always escaped my grasp. It makes me feel teased, focussed and determined.
  • What creative achievements are you particularly proud of?

I'm proud of the Alexander McQueen scholarship that I received in my final year at CSM. I am proud of the many solo write-ups ive received about my work as well; being written about in Vogue US, Italia, Portugal, Poland, Paper Magazine, Dazed, I-D, Office Magazine and many more.
  • Have you ever been surprised by a student; by their ability or quick progression?

Absolutely. You have to have a lot of head and a lot of heart to stay engaged in the early phases of design, in the time when any step forward is confusing. I've met people with true soul.
  • Being a Superprof is an art! What is your secret?

    Perrier with lemon.
