About Courtney
Hi, I'm Courtney! I'm an experienced and passionate educator who absolutely loves connecting with students to help them build their confidence. I describe myself as a "guide on the side" type of teacher, and with that, my goal is always to help students reach a point where they feel they no longer need me and can shine on their own. Every time a student shows me their report card or lets me know that they aced their most recent quiz, I find immense joy in seeing how proud they are of their accomplishments. I can't wait to help you feel successful and confident in school!

I am flexible and willing to offer homework help, test prep, or full lessons for learning new skills and strategies.
In my 15 years as a tutor, I have developed a method of modeling expectations and then gradually having my students take over problem solving, building their independence and confidence.
While I do have a lot of experience, I believe my individual student-centered approach is what sets me apart. I don't treat any two students exactly alike. I pride myself on building relationships with my students to figure out what types of strategies, feedback and overall energy during the lesson will serve them best.
I am flexible, but I have the most experience in working with students from the upper elementary to early high school level.
