About XIAOYING

I am a certified Chinese language teacher with extensive experience in both overseas and online Chinese teaching. During my university studies, I received systematic training in Chinese language and linguistics, which has provided me with a strong professional foundation.

My students come from all over the world. One of my students from Colombia started learning Chinese with me as a complete beginner and successfully reached HSK Level 5. Throughout the learning journey, I not only helped him improve his pronunciation, grammar, and understanding of Chinese characters, but also introduced him to the richness of Chinese culture.

For example, he was especially interested in Chinese history, so I incorporated historical topics into our lessons, guiding him through China's development from ancient civilization to modern times. I believe that learning a language is not only about mastering vocabulary and grammar, but also about understanding the culture and way of thinking behind it.

I can communicate in basic English and Spanish, which helps beginner students feel more comfortable and confident in class.

I love traveling and enjoy learning about different cultures. I look forward to exploring the beauty of the Chinese language with you in a relaxed, engaging, and enjoyable learning environment. Together, we will not only improve your Chinese skills but also share our cultures and make every lesson meaningful and rewarding.

About the lesson

Before we begin, I will take the time to understand your learning goals, interests, and current Chinese level. Based on your needs, I will create a personalized learning plan just for you. Whether you are preparing for the HSK exam, learning Chinese for business, travel, daily communication, or improving your speaking skills, I will choose the most suitable textbooks and learning materials. I have a wide range of teaching resources, including HSK, Business Chinese, Travel Chinese, Conversational Chinese, and more, to help you achieve your goals efficiently.

In class, I will encourage you to speak confidently and practice listening, speaking, reading, and communication in a relaxed and supportive environment. I will also take detailed notes on key points, common mistakes, and important language patterns, so you can stay focused on learning without worrying about missing anything.

After each lesson, I will send you organized class notes and personalized learning suggestions to help you review and reinforce what you have learned. If you would like extra practice, you are also welcome to communicate with me through social media to continue practicing your Chinese in daily life.

Personalized Lessons

Every student is unique. If you have specific learning goals or special requirements, I will happily adapt my teaching methods and lesson content to create a course that best suits your needs, helping you improve your Chinese with confidence and enjoyment.

If you want to learn Chinese, I sincerely recommend Teacher Xiaoying. She is a professionally trained teacher of Chinese as a foreign language, and her teaching methods are both systematic and engaging. In her classes, you’ll learn not just the language itself, but also China’s mountains and rivers, culinary traditions, folk customs, and historical stories.

Teacher Ao (Xiaoying) naturally weaves Chinese culture into her language lessons. By studying with her, you’ll discover the fascinating stories behind places like the Hongcun Ancient Architectural Complex, the Zhenwu Mountain Ancient Architectural Complex, the Zhangye Giant Buddha Temple, and the Forbidden City in Beijing. If you ever have the chance, I really recommend visiting these sites in person!

All in all, Teacher Ao’s lessons are rich in content and have a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere. If you want to learn Chinese well without getting bored, she is definitely the right choice!
