About Rie

Hello!

I worked as a Japanese language teacher at a Japanese language school in the Philippines, where I taught grammar and conversation to students who wished to move to or work in Japan.

I am currently teaching Japanese online.

I’m originally from Tottori Prefecture, one of the most rural areas in Japan!

I love traveling and learning about different cultures, and I currently work while exploring different countries around the world.

Visiting countries I’ve never been to and learning new languages and cultures is always exciting, isn’t it?

I’d love to learn about your country and culture during our lessons too!

My Teaching Style

My lessons focus not only on learning Japanese, but also on helping you use Japanese in real-life situations.

Whether for daily life, work, or travel in Japan, I aim to help you develop practical Japanese that communicates your thoughts and feelings naturally.

My lessons are perfect for learners who want to:

Speak a lot and enjoy conversation practice
Build a strong grammar foundation while learning natural Japanese used by native speakers
Express their thoughts and feelings more confidently in Japanese
Lesson Content
For Beginner to Intermediate Learners

Using textbooks and supplementary materials, we will build a solid foundation in grammar while developing your conversation skills.

During lessons, you will learn grammar and vocabulary and immediately practice using them through conversation.

Although I use textbooks, I customize each lesson according to your goals, interests, and level.

I can also explain concepts in English when needed, so complete beginners are welcome.
