My approach as a literacy tutor is structured, supportive, and highly personalized. I use evidence-based reading practices grounded in the Science of Reading, including explicit phonics, fluency practice, vocabulary development, and comprehension strategies. A typical lesson includes a brief skill review, targeted instruction, guided practice, and application to authentic reading or writing tasks. What sets me apart is my background as a certified reading specialist and literacy coach, which allows me to quickly diagnose reading needs and adjust instruction. Lessons are designed for K–8 students, including struggling readers, students with learning differences, and those seeking enrichment.
