About Tim
I have recently graduated with two degrees (Accounting and Finance) in my 4 years of undergrad. This typically takes students a total of 5 years to complete. I then proceeded to take
about 2 years to study for the Certified Public Accountant exam to obtain my license. This exam has a low pass rate of only about 40%, and I passed on my first try. Studying is not new to me, and I have learned to navigate different topics from both Accounting and Finance related fields. This ranges from basic introduction classes to a variety of different areas such as Investing, Corporate Finance, Cost Accounting, and Advanced Accounting.

Young and excited tutor who has a willingness to adapt to students style of learning.
Sometimes all that is needed is a focus on key terms, and learning how to apply those key terms to questions or problems. My approach to teaching is to take topic by topic as there own. If the student is understanding a topic, my approach is to move directly to application. There is no need to spend time reading information on a topic that is understood up front. If student does not do well on practice questions, we will then revisit the topic to understand.
Throughout my college studies (Virginia Tech) and CPA exam studies, I had to learn how to adapt and be efficient on each topic. Some topics required a reading based approach, while others required an application based approach.
I also understand that each student will be there own person and have different preferences. Whatever the student prefers is ultimately the way I will help ensure they reach there goal.
