About Lauryn
Hi! My name is Lauryn and I have been a middle school math and science teacher for the last 6 years. Before that, I attended the University of Lethbridge where I graduated with honors in Science Education. My passion has always been to teach and work with students like you to realize your full potential, especially in those more difficult subjects like math and science. I try to make things fun and easy-going with stepwise processes for problem solving and lots of visualizations. Hi there! I have six years of experience teaching a range of math and science courses, and I love helping students discover their full potential. My teaching style follows the 20/80 rule—about 20% direct teaching and 80% hands-on practice—so students spend most of the time applying what they learn while I support and guide them along the way. My lessons are perfect for students in grades 1–10 who want to build confidence and strengthen their skills in math or science.
