About Maria Eugenia

My name is Maria Eugenia but everyone calls me Maru. I studied Literature and Linguistics as a professional career but I specialized in teaching the English language. I already have 16 years of experience teaching and coordinating language courses.

I am passionate about languages, reading and the art of speaking. In my free time I develop creative poetic writing in both Spanish and English and translate literary material between both languages.

I like to read, write and watch movies.

I am the mother of a completely bilingual six-year-old boy thanks to the work I have done since he was in gestation.

About the lesson

My teaching system includes linguistic tools, considering the cognitive levels of language acquisition and comprehension skills (reading and listening comprehension) and production (oral and written) in accordance with the provisions of the Common European Framework for Languages ( CEFR).

The objective is to expose my students to cognitive-linguistic situations by simulating real contexts. With classes taught in English and with updated and original material.

I work under international standards in learning English to offer the best pedagogical support in any of the modalities and courses that we offer. My classes are 100% online with the use of pedagogical tools and techniques in online teaching.

MY MISSION

To offer a comprehensive and quality academic training in language teaching that allows the student make effective, efficient and self-sufficient use of language; promoting the language culture and integrating it into a socio-educational environment.

PURPOSE OF MY CLASSES

To develop the linguistic and sociolinguistic competences of my students with an approach that stimulates interaction with the language from the first, the development of vocabulary in context and the realization of specific activities with the English language. For this, we work with a methodology that includes the use of diverse audiovisual material, online platforms and activities that develop reading and listening comprehension, oral and written skills.
