About Matthew
I have recently graduated from my master's degree in Sustainable Energy Systems after finishing my undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering. I have previously had some experience tutoring maths and chemistry for GCSE and A-level.
I am friendly, patient and easy going - passionate about science and maths and keen to teach others in these areas!

My aim is to help the student to learn and feel motivated. Each lesson will be tailored to how the student feels they learn best to build their confidence and skill using the methods they have been taught at school or university. Typically, I like to assist the student in working through and explaining examples so they can learn why they are using methods rather than memorising them. I find this leads to being able to apply the method more easily to new examples.

Matthew helped me through my degree in BEng Chemical Engineering which lead to me achieving 2:1. If I could not grasp a concept, Matthew would change the way he was explaining it and make up examples to make sure I understood.
I enjoy his teaching style - he is very patient and explain things very clearly. He would go the extra mile to make sure I felt confident for my upcoming exams
