About Harry
Hi, I'm Harry! I hold a Master's degree in Chemistry, alongside A-Levels in Chemistry, Maths and Geography, and GCSEs across the sciences, Maths, English and languages. Science has always been the subject I found most exciting, and I've long wanted to help other students feel that same enthusiasm rather than seeing it as a subject to get through.
Chemistry and Maths in particular can feel abstract or intimidating when you're stuck on a topic, and I remember exactly what that felt like at GCSE and A-Level. What made the biggest difference for me was having someone explain the reasoning behind a concept rather than just handing me a method to memorise — and that's the approach I want to bring to my own students.
I'm patient, easy to talk to, and genuinely enjoy the moment a concept clicks for someone. I also hold an enhanced DBS certificate, so parents and students can feel confident about my suitability to work with young people.

My approach is built around finding exactly where a student is getting stuck, rather than working through a generic syllabus. I always start with a short diagnostic to identify gaps, then tailor sessions to the specific exam board (AQA, Edexcel, or OCR), using past papers and mark schemes so students build both understanding and exam technique.
Lessons typically run for an hour, though I can adapt to 45-minute or 90-minute sessions depending on what suits the student. I hold a Master's degree in Chemistry, plus A-Levels in Chemistry, Maths and Geography, so I bring subject knowledge well beyond the level I'm teaching — which helps me explain the "why" behind concepts, not just the method.
I mainly teach GCSE and A-Level students in Chemistry, and I'm also happy to help with GCSE Biology, Maths, and Geography. Whether you're aiming to move up a grade, catch up on missed topics, or just build confidence before exams, I'll build a plan around your specific needs.
