About Ariella

My interest in chess began with fascination for how small decisions can shape an entire game. This curiosity led me to pursue a B.Sc in Behavioral Strategy, followed by an M.Sc in Competitive Analytics, where I explored decision-making systems and strategic performance. Over the past 12 years, I have coached students in developing both chess skill and mental confidence through structured and supportive guidance.

I believe chess learning should feel inspiring rather than stressful. My teaching style emphasizes clarity, patience, and helping students grow through understanding rather than fear of mistakes. I encourage learners to analyze calmly, ask questions freely, and develop a mindset of curiosity and resilience.

Outside teaching, I stay connected with chess through studying grandmaster games, exploring modern training tools, and analyzing competitive trends. Teaching chess is meaningful to me because I witness students transform into confident thinkers who enjoy both improvement and the beauty of strategic play.

About the lesson

Chess becomes powerful when students realize it is not only a game, but also a training ground for clear thinking, patience, and long-term planning. In my lessons, I help learners understand the reasoning behind moves rather than relying on memorization. Each session is structured to build confidence step by step, guiding students through tactical patterns, positional understanding, and decision-making skills that grow naturally with practice.

Lessons are personalized for every level. Beginners focus on piece coordination, basic checkmates, tactical ideas such as forks and pins, and simple opening principles that create stability. Intermediate players develop deeper calculation skills, endgame awareness, strategic planning, and stronger board vision. Advanced learners refine tournament preparation, complex positional themes, opening depth, psychological resilience, and the ability to handle pressure during competitive play. Every lesson includes analysis of games, practice positions, and supportive feedback that helps students improve steadily.

Chess lessons also strengthen focus, emotional control, and resilience. Many students discover that chess teaches them how to remain calm while solving difficult problems. My goal is to help learners enjoy chess while developing confidence, discipline, and a thoughtful strategic mindset.
