About Dawn
"Teaching chess represents a way to share the analytical clarity that logic games provide. Truthfully, the focus required for 423 students has taught me as much about patience as it has about strategy.
My BSc Statistics from NUS helps me break down complex positions into understandable data points for students. I emphasize the study of pawn structures, piece coordination, and the importance of thorough opening repertoire building.
Years of experience have shown me how rewarding it is to watch a student master a difficult tactical pattern. I enjoy seeing the moment a plan suddenly clicks into place for a learner. Developing tournament preparation habits is a core part of how I work with my students."
