About Amanda
I graduated with my BS in Civil Engineering and began my career as a Civil Engineer in the United States Air Force. I worked on engineering projects my first 3 years then I deployed to Afghanistan to help the local Afghan people. Today, I no longer work as an engineer but instead host a podcast and am a published author. Tutoring math slows me to stay connected to math and engineering.

I love helping students learn and better understand math and math concepts. With a BS in Civil Engineering I have a strong understanding of basic math concepts and I love being able to share that knowledge and watch students make connections and grow in their math knowledge andunderstanding. I believe a strong foundation in math is a key to opening doors to future education opportunities.
