About Kevin
Even though I am only a high school student, I've taken many college level AP and honors courses meant to be rigorous and difficult. I know what it's like to struggle and need to work through problems as I've often had to slowly work through concepts before I understood a subject. I've been tutoring for all 4 years of high school and have a good grasp on how to work with students in order to help them succeed. I am good at tutoring because I know what it's like to struggle and despite all the effort I've had to make I still passed many AP level classes with high marks.

I typically offer step-by-step help when applicable or I give constructive criticism and work with students to improve their work. Despite only being a high school senior, I've taken a multitude of advanced classes and coursework and I've been tutoring at my school for years. I can help break down problems into simple, understandable segments that are easier to tackle and I work with students to improve their work through detailed feedback and one-on-one guidance. I am capable of tutoring English, basic math, and history. Particularly, I am able to tutor common core English, AP English (both language and literature), Algebra 1 and below difficulties of math, U.S. History, and AP U.S. History. Typically, I let students determine what they feel they need the most help in and allow them to take the tutoring where they want. My lessons are designed for people who feel they need assistance in understanding concepts or need guidance on how to tackle certain work. I can also help with how to develop healthy study habits for AP classes and how to prepare for the AP exams. I've taken AP World History Modern, AP English Language, AP U.S. History, and AP Spanish Language and Culture and passed all tests with at least a 3.
