About Francisco
Originally from Mexico, I hold a diploma as electrician and in Physics Engineering at university level. The latter is officially approved by NTNU as a "Sivilingeniør". In addition, I have a Master of Business Administration from BI Norwegian Business School. My experience as a teacher is as follows: I have been a teaching assistant in mathematics (probability theory) at university and teach physics (laboratories) at secondary school and university. I have taught individuals in different subjects related to math, physics, and chemistry, and at several levels, to help them pass the entrance exam to high school and university, as well as some individual courses.

To teach or help others to learn something, I follow this methodology: 1) I map interest, goals with the subject and time available to achieve the goal, as well as the student´s knowledge and experience. That is: How much does the student know about the subject? Why will the student become better in this subject? How much time do we have to teach the subject and lead the student to the goal? How much motivation and self-interest does the student have for the subject? 2) I prepare a plan that fits the answers to point 1 and make a binding agreement between the student and me on a plan for implementation. This agreement is an important part of the process. As a teacher, I have to do what is necessary for the student to understand the concepts, logic and process, as well as when and how the student applies these. It is the student himself who must remember and apply these when the student takes the exam, the test or solves an assignment. To achieve this, the student must work on solving as many tasks or exercises as possible, in order to achieve the best possible grade. 3) To help the student to understand and apply the subject knowledge, I use different literature or other media to find the explanation that helps the student to understand the subject. I also use my work experience to draw in examples of how this professional knowledge is applied. Last but not least, I use different methods that are didactic and suitable for clarifying and explaining concepts so that the student can understand and learn to use it. I believe that it should not be boring to learn something, it is about the way it is learned.
