About Inge
Precision in posture and hand position forms the bedrock of my instruction, though I admit that finding comfort at the keyboard remains a lifelong pursuit. I guide students through sight transposition, ear training, scales, and arpeggios with a calm focus on technical clarity. Jazz improvisation and classical repertoire offer paths to explore dynamics and expression alongside sight playing.
Having earned my BMus at the Curtis Institute of Music, I have spent 13 years refining my methods. My background includes performing across the Midwest since my first recital at 11, which fuels my quiet joy in watching students find their own musical voice. These days, I help students navigate the RCM syllabus, having shepherded 60+ learners from Prep A through ARCT. I prefer a thoughtful environment where we can explore the nuances of music at a steady pace.

Clarity defines our time together as I observe your playing to adjust your technical approach in real time. Because I have 13 years of experience with 60+ RCM students, I understand exactly how to structure your practice to ensure balanced progress.
We examine your scales and arpeggios first, as these provide the foundation for the classical repertoire we eventually perform. 6.0 is the specific level of detail I apply to your dynamics and expression throughout our 60 minute sessions.
You will receive direct feedback on your hand position and sight playing during every meeting. I integrate ear training and jazz improvisation to keep our focus sharp and our movement fluid.
My BMus training from the Curtis Institute of Music informs how I demonstrate complex passages with calm authority. You will find that these structured habits lead to a deeper understanding of your own musical voice. I look forward to supporting your progress through the grades as we work toward those distinction results together. It is a pleasure to share this rhythmic journey with you.
