About Michael
I enjoy teaching and I'm passionate about the teaching I do in my areas of interest.
I've taught on a casual basis at one of Australia's top-ranked universities, The Australian National University, since 2006.
I submitted my Doctoral thesis in 2022.
I've worked in academia, the corporate world, as a carer, and in private business. I enjoy imparting knowledge and seeing students entertain their potential.

I've tutored at the first through to third-year level at university.
I've developed my own lectures and labs on Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
My area of expertise is in Selective Visual Attention and the neural mechanisms involved.
My teaching methodology is designed for university-level students with Honours ambitions. I mix theoretical with practical.
My specialty is in the cognitive psychology area of "attention." More specifically, the early detection phase of vision and how we move attention within and between objects.
I'm competent in statistical analysis, paradigm design, and writing for science.
Finally, my primary interest is in consciousness.
