I have been tutoring academically since high school and I have recently started to pursue personal life coaching for others. When I teach academically I first ask the student what they are learning so I can read about it before the tutoring session begins. If it is a concept they are struggling with I try to explain the concept to them simply first and then if there are problems they are struggling with, I will try to solve it first before the session so I can see how they reason through it and if they logic is following the professor's logic. In terms of personal life coaching, I like to first just listen to the person's problems and only interject if I feel there is something of value that they can relate to. After a couple of sessions have gone by and they feel comfortable with me, then I start to maybe give them more advice that I know can apply to them, since I feel like at that point I know them better and can give them advice that will be practical for them.

I typically charge $25/hr for a webcam lesson, however if I need to travel then I will charge $30/hr, thanks.
