About Claire
I am a Colorado School of Mines graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. I am a process engineer with an active EI license and I use the problem solving skills I learned in school every day.
I taught classes on CAD (computer aided design) through college and loved developing lesson plans to help my students gain the skills they needed to be successful. I also coached FLL (FIRST Lego League) and FRC (FIRST Robotics Challenge) for years, which has enabled me to work with students of all ages.

I love problem solving and finding different methods of learning. After teaching CAD classes and coaching robotics teams for years I know that everyone has a different approach to learning.
For a general lesson I will start by working with you to understand where the trouble is, well then make sure that we have a good understanding of the principles the problem is built on, before moving on to practice.
Depending on a student’s learning style and interests, I like to incorporate games and competitions. I will also prep additional resources for self study, if desired, including problem examples and helpful videos.
