About SABO
SABO is a Japanese Ninjutsu practitioner and performer with over 13 years of experience in traditional martial arts and stage combat. He has appeared in NHK’s historical drama series and live samurai stage productions in Japan. Based in Vancouver since 2025, he now shares the spirit and movement of ninja and samurai through performances and workshops that connect these ancient disciplines to modern life.

Shinobi who once worked in Japan were experts at surviving in any environment.
The breathing and meditation techniques they used are still useful today, and many modern martial arts continue to practice them.
What will you learn?
You will learn exercises based on movements of the ninja, as well as practice mental training that the ninja used, which were valued even more than physical ability. This includes how to calm your mind in moments of need, or to inspire courage when facing challenges—an important skill to give yourself balance in modern-day life.
