About Sofia
I am an upcoming Biomedical Engineering student from Colombia. Having moved to the United States two years ago, I deeply understand what it is like to struggle and fight hard to understand something new. This personal journey has given me columns of patience, and I always adapt my strategy to each student's unique pace.
Outside of academics, my main hobbies are chess and literature, which feed my love for strategy and logical thinking. My experience includes mastering AP Statistics, competing in regional mathematics bowls, and working as a community volunteer tutoring elementary school students in math. I want my students to know that they are getting a determined peer who knows exactly how to break down hard assignments into simple, written steps to help them succeed.
