About Anna
I have my BA from Cornell in psychology and MA in Mental Health, though I have spent much of my career in education and working with children and adolescents. Because of my clinical background I understand everyone learns in different ways and can cater sessions to fit your unique needs - whether you are a hands on kinesthetic learner, a visual learner, audiological, or a combination I’ll make sure our sessions are structured in a way that make sense to you. Tutoring is not a one size fits all approach, I’ll help you get comfortable with the principles of math in a way that works for you and then make sure it can be integrated into what your school system expects!

I have always loved math because it’s so straightforward and logical, once you get comfortable with the patterns, equations, or algorithms the problem basically solves itself! Math can be scary for many students but I want to help you discover that at its core, it does not have to be stressful at all. I want my students to understand how mathematics works not just to succeed in school but to be comfortable using those skills in real life situations too - from shopping to converting recipes, using geometry for sports, and more - math is a lifelong skill that we all should strive to master!
